A Bit About Me

Ever since I was little I have loved planning events. I know, so cliché right? But it's true. I remember planning birthdays with my Gram which later turned into planning graduations, bridal shows, and even more birthdays. When I went to college and I found out you could professionally plan things, I was hooked.

 

I studied at Grand Valley State University for 4 years while partaking in extra curricular activities to build my teamwork soft skill. In 2020 after graduation from GVSU, I accepted an internship with, formally known as Boyne Highlands, The Highlands at Harbor Springs. After one week of being an intern, I was pulled aside and offered a full time seasonal position with the company. One year later and I am one of the lead event planners on the property. Caitlyn Witkamp, Event Manager - Corporate Specialist is my name and I'm making event planning my game.

 

With 4+ years of experience, I have been the liaison between countless clients, companies, and venders at each company I have worked for. I have coordinated over 100 events including but not limited to, family reunions, weddings, corporate retreats, and private events. I can guarantee that I will be guest and company oriented while also knowing what needs to get done and doing it.

-Primary liaison between clients, events, and 20+ cross functioning departments

-Orchestrates and manages 50+events,  promotion, menu planning and cross functional team coordination

-Directed member activities including event promotion, menu planning, and cross functional team coordination

head chef
